Hakela Almeida, is the 8 year old daughter of Kyle and Kimberly Almeida. Her journey with equines started at the age of 6 with a big off the track thoroughbred mare who was sweet and patient. Hakela's sights are set to the starts as she is getting involved in more local horse events, to include junior rodeo, 4-H and horsemanship fundamentals. Her passion is for wild mustangs. With her parents guidance, Hakela has helped to gentle four mustangs in just two years. Hakela believes that there is a place in the industry for all horses and it is her hope to spread awareness of the American Mustangs capability to excel in rodeo events, ranching, and western pleasure. Hakela believes that no matter what happens in the arena or in life, as long as you get back back in the saddle, chin up heels down you can conquer the world. As your 2024 Miss Rodeo Washington Sweetheart, Hakela is ready to be a role model for all young girls wanting to be involved with horses, rodeo, agriculture and the western way of life.
