Miss Teen Rodeo Washington 2020-2021
Chloe Brown

Picture
Washington cowgirl, Chloe Brown, earned the title of 2020 Miss Teen Rodeo Washington in a days’ long competition in Ellensburg in October 2019.

Chloe is the 16-year-old daughter of Ryan and Francine Brown of Cle Elum, Washington, and younger sister to Courtney Brown, who doubles as her best friend. Currently a sophomore at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School, Chloe’s scholastic goal is to pursue a marketing degree at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

At a young age, Chloe discovered a passion for horses. Six years of showing horses in her local 4-H Club, Royal Riders, to being a member of the Cle Elum High School Rodeo team, she has always enjoyed competing on horseback.  Blessed to ride a number of amazing horses, two stand out as her favorites, Ginger and JP. Ginger is a fiery mare that loves to barrel race and pole bend and currently serves as Chloe’s high school rodeo horse, as well as helping to take Chloe to the winner’s circle in the Miss Teen Rodeo Washington Pageant. JP is her breakaway and queening horse, who will be traveling alongside Chloe during her year as Miss Teen Rodeo Washington.

Outside of riding and caring for her horses, Chloe stays very active within her community, by volunteering at Hope Source, a local food bank, and at school. She is a varsity cheerleader and the 2019-2020 High School Spirit Commissioner, this entails planning assemblies and posting on the high school’s Instagram account, keeping the students and community updated on what is happening at the school. In the fall of 2019, Chloe was inducted into the National Honors Society, which provides her another platform in which to volunteer and stay active in her hometown of Cle Elum.

The position of Miss Teen Rodeo Washington is about service above self, education and inspiration. “She is clothed with dignity and strength and laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25.  Exemplifying Chloe’s goals during her reign, to represent the state of Washington with dignity and grace, while educating the public about the importance of volunteerism, the western way of life, agriculture and to inspire the next generation of ambassadors for the sport of rodeo.
